About Us:

Everything at Issue publishes articles about rare anomalies to reveal legal change in real time. We encourage public discourse and open dialogue including respectful disagreement and civilized argument in the comments and beyond. We believe that free thought and public discourse about legal change is vital to protect and promote fundamental rights and liberties in a free republic.

The logo and theme of Everything at Issue playfully combines several references including: Eve Babitz’s idea of Hollywood’s black swans, the popular book cover referring to Flannery O’Connor’s short story Everything That Rises Must Converge, and Natalie Portman’s iconic performance in the 2010 film Black Swan. The newsletter’s reference to the concept of black swans is entirely metaphorical. No actual black swans were harmed in the production of this newsletter.

Everything at Issue is written and curated by Joshua J. Schroeder, who is a multi-published attorney, author, and scholar.
